Growing up in a loving family in the former communist Yugoslavia, now Serbia, she was led to believe that all you need is (government) love. The country’s subsequent messy divorce left her with some global identity issues.

A degree in French language and literature certified her penchant for linguistics and writing (she is still haunted by the question: Pourqoi?). Work in media taught her that 1. spreading a message starts with the message, 2. words travel faster wrapped around a picture.

The American way suited her enterprising, slightly workaholic side well. Technology gave her new tools to communicate across social segments and cultural divides. Deep in the trenches of e-commerce, launching stores and product lines from around the world, she realized enjoying good things in life has no borders. Alex lives in Los Angeles, CA.
