Embrace One Nigeria, Nwodo, Others Urge IPOB/MASSOB



The former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, over the weekend defected to APC in Enugu, with some other members of the party like the person of, former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Emeka Worgu and former House of Representatives Speaker, Agunwa Anakwe.

Welcoming the decampees is the Vice chairman of the meeting and chieftain of All Progressive Congress APC, Chief Emma Enekwu. He read out a communique and urge Igbos to stick together and support the President Buhari-led APC government, stressing that their low performance in the last 2015 Presidential election, was the reason they denied juicy positions in Nigeria.

The communiqué issued reads in part; “The South-East APC supports the anti-corruption crusade of President Muhammadu Buhari and we urge Mr. President to go ahead and recover all looted public funds.

“We call on the groups agitating for separation from a united Nigeria, particularly, the IPOB and MASSOB to re-think and abandon the idea and join the other tribes in building a formidable united Nigeria where all Nigerians will be equally treated in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We believe by 2023, the president of a united Nigeria will be a Nigerian of Igbo extraction from the South-East.”
