Gov. Ikpeazu Approves The Use Of Bakassi Boys Against Fulani Herdsmen

Due to the incessant killings unleashed on law abiding Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen, the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the use of Bakkasi Boys to wage war against the herdsmen and to help the Police in providing security in the state.
He said the Bakkasi Boys will undergo two weeks intensive training in order to be equipped for the task. The governor said more people will be recruited into the organisation and has therefore asked the traditional rulers in the state to submit the names of 10 youths from their communities to the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs between Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th, 2016 for screening.
On the other hand, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has acquired helicopter for surveillance purposes across the state to monitor the activities of herdsmen while Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has asked farmers in the state to poison their water to wade off Fulani herdsmen from their farms.
Ikpeazu also condemned the killings of two people by Soldiers in Abattoir in Aba and promised that the soldiers who perpetrated the act will be brought to justice.
